PROJECT ENGINEER

SUMMARY:  A construction professional responsible for support to the Project Superintendent and Project Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
  • Forward leads to Group Vice President
  • Manages client expectations and the client relationship so that Eagle is perceived positively and top of awareness is achieved

Pre-Construction/Estimating/Project Start up

  • Assist in material takeoffs
  • assist in obtaining subcontractor and supplier quotes
  • assist in schedule preparation
  • Conduct subcontract/vendor scope interviews prior to subcontract award

Construction Management

  • Assist in identifying and implementing cost and time saving measures during purchasing
  • Assist in obtaining building and related permits
  • Assist field start up activities of job trailer set up and temporary utilities
  • Assist in creating and updating project management tools
  • Obtain submittals and manage process from subcontractor submission and architect approval through coordination
  • Additional responsibilities as needed

Post Construction

  • Obtain final closeout submission documents
  • Assist in preparing project records for storage
  • Assist in warranty follow ups

General

  • Acquire understanding of building code and design
  • Work to improve personal, technical and managerial skills
  • Assist project manager and superintendent in any job function to ensure economic and timely project completion

QUALIFICATIONS:

To be successful an individual must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

–Education:

  • Bachelors degree in 4 year construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent experience

–Knowledge and Experience:

  • Ability and willingness to learn
